It's my dad's b-day today and currently he's recovering from a major jaw surgery so he can't chew any food because he has no bottom teeth at the moment. Are there any dinner meals out there other than soup as welll as dessert that he would be able to eat?

  1. Mashed potatoes, really soft mac and cheese (cut up), baby food, soft mashed carrots. Dessert: Ice cream, shakes, ect..

  2. you could make a desert from yogurt, ice cream or jello, you know. Also have you ever heard of ice cream cake?To make him feel special you can put one of those small, safe fireworks in.     idk about dinner though    maybe if you try and make up a recipe made from avocados  and another soft foods like a really creamy mash, remember you can mash a lot of veggies.

  3. ice cream

    soft mashed potatoes

    yogurt

    cheese

    melted chocolate

  4. Mashed potatoes, yams, cooked spinach, jello, pudding, apple sauce, soup, fish (plain, non-breaded), rice, refried beans, cottage cheese, ice cream, milk shakes, yogurt.

  5. chicken soup

    banana shake

    mango shake

  6. For his birthday why not make him a New York Style cheesecake (no crust)

3-8 oz blocks of cream cheese

1 16 oz container of sour cream

    1/2 tsp vanilla

1 cup sugar ( if you want it sweeter taste it)

    2 eggs

    Blend together in food processor

Spray cake pan You can use a springform pan but make sure you put a pan under it. Take aluminum foil and lightly cover the pan leaving one side open (this keeps the top nice and white) Bake 400 for 10 minutes then reduce temperature to 350 and bake for an hour.

It's really good. See my smile? I have dental implants and was on a no chew diet for 5 months. I got good at just swallowing things. Many of the things people have suggested are great. Ice cream shakes are great too but that is a no brainer. I loved the above cheesecake and ate many  during these months. LOL
