Football!!! Involving NCAA Football????

Question

Okay so i want to know this, if i go into a school that has a Football team, can i try out. I mean without a scholarship or anything. If i got accepted into the school but never got a football scholarship, could i possibly try out for the football team???

yea, you can walk on when they have open tryouts, but you will have to earn your scholarship

ya its call walking on. but you might be to late for this year but it depends on your school

yeah you can you they out for some of the walk on spots best time is in spring less players then again in fall hopefully you make but if you do your pretty much put through h**l and most the time don't suit up

Yeah...Its called being walk-on...They're good enough to make the team, just not good enough to be on a football scholarship

yes, absolutely.  If you did try out and make the team, you would be called a "walk on".  Because you won a place on a team, even after all the scholarship spots have been awarded.

The cool thing is, you could be awarded a scholarship as a walk on, if the coach said, we've got to hold on to this guy, he is needed on this team.

I could be mistaken but i think you can go to the football department and see if they hold open tryouts.I guess it all depends on the school too though.Im sure some of the bigger schools like Texas and Usc have enough scholarship players but hey you never know.
