Football club supporting question...?

Alright so I'm a Chelsea supporter first and foremost. But, I also like AS Roma from the Italian league. I know these teams can actually play each other in the Champion's league so I was wondering whether its not okay to support two teams that can end up competing. The reason I ask is I'm american and am a complete dipshit when it comes to football "etiquette". Thanks for the help

As you live 3,000 miles away in the colonies you can be forgiven for not knowing football etiquette.

But a true supporter only supports one team, through thick and thin. If relegated or promoted. Forever and ever Amen.
