Football injury relief?

What should i do to relief my foot injury. soak it in warm or cold water. i heard football players take cold soaks for there muscles.

  1. if the injury happened within a day, then soak it in cold to reduce the swelling


  2. Cold water and more cold water. Soak it in a big bucket with cold water and ice.

  3. soak it in cold to reduce swelling, then warm or hot water after the swelling is gone to loosen the muscles.  But if your not gonna play anytime soon just stick to cold.
