What food portions do you give your beardie/s? As much detail as possible will win Best Answer. I would prefer to know feeding times, what/how much is being fed, etc.

Please help me out! Thanks.

  1. it really depends on the size of the dragon and you should feed him when you wake up in the morning and when u go 2 bed at night

  2. i feed my 7 month old beardie when i first wake up in the morning, his light should already be on (i have a timer for my light) and he has a diet of Rep-cal juvenile bearded dragon food pellets and collard greens/ yellow squash. i feed him the pellets just enogh to cover the bottom of his bowl in the morning and i feed him the vegies in mid-afternoon(2-3 o'clock pm) i also give him fresh water daily even though he doesn't drink it. along with the pellets i give him ten large crix 1 or 2 times a week.

  3. Well there can be a lot of variables w/ age and appetite. I will typically feed my older dragons insects 3 x's a week. Usually between 12-18 crickets/wax worms/super worms. 3 x's a week I will provide them w/ a sald that fills a flat dish that you will find at most pet stores. in the salad I will include collard/dandi's/green beans/sweet peas/yellow and green zuchinni/ and fruits like grapes. I always like to feed them early but really there's nothing wrong w/ feeding them late, as long as it's not too late. you want to give them time to digest their food. Each dragon will have a different personality and appetite so through time, you will just learn what your dragon likes in their salad and what they don't and how much they will or can eat. I do like to put a limit on the insects though.
