  3. Mature, Responsible, someone who truly enjoys kids.  Someone that can be trustworthy doesn't smoke or drink.  Wont be on the phone or texting all the time and will actually watch and care for the kids.....

  4. ~Seems to really enjoy children (not just doing it for the money)

~Knowledge about child development (from a class or experience)

~Firmness (so the kids won't think you're there to be their friend)

~Gentleness (show compassion to the kids if they are sad or hurting)

~Able to make wise decisions in situations such as child being sick or hurt.

~Responsible and mature (even if her friends come around)

    ~Clean person

    ~Availability

    ~Good references

  5. experienced for sure. and other kids around for our kids to play with and yes don't over charge the parents

  6. Personally, I look for a person that is CPR and first aid certified and comes with at least 3 references. I want someone that is at least 15, but prefer 16 or older with a drivers license and cell phone. I always have the babysitter meet my children first to see how she interacts with my children, and if my children take to her or not. I also want someone that truly enjoys watching children. I don't want a person that is just doing it for the money.

Good luck starting your service! I hope I helped.

  7. Im a mommy to be and when I choose a sitter for my child I will want them to know infant CPR and CPR!  I want someone who is responsible, attentive, and actually cares what my child is up to or into...someone who cares to interact rather than watch tv or text or be on the phone and someone my child enjoys being with!  I also want someone who knows about child safety and SIDS if they are watching my baby!
