-What's the difference between playing in grass and playing in carpet?

  1. where I live we don't have grass court ... just carpet... but my coach told me that playng in grass is faster than playing in carpet because grass gives speed at the ball due to a "power"

    that is reduced on grass...(I don't remember the power's name in english...only in greek ..It's the power known as "Trivi or Τριβή (in greek that is)" and it's the reason we are able to walk ...anyway it's physics... )


  2. It's much harder to play on grass. Carpet is a much faster game without many surprises. Much skill is needed to play on grass, thats why Federer wins Wimbledon every year. He has mastered it.

  3. Well, on carpet the bounce is higher than grass, but not as high as hard. And, on grass courts, there can be awkward and unexpected bounces, unlike carpet. I think that carpet is more fun.
