Question:

For the Aussies only?

I need help finding suitable accommodation in Queenslands' Whitsundays for Sept/Oct of this year.

We want to go somewhere child friendly with lots of activities for the kids (3 & 7yrs), but it has to be great for the parents aswell.

I'd like to hear from people who can recommend some places, but also from people who have had a bad holiday experience so I can avoid those places!

Thanks!

  1. http://www.adventurewhitsunday.com.au/ The big 4 Tourist parks are very good . You can get a nice cabin with kitchen facilities which makes it easier with children. There are quite a few tourist parks at Airlie Beach and from here you can book to go to any of the islands for day trips. There's also Club crocodile http://www.clubcroc.com.au/ My daughter and 2 children stayed here . they enjoyed it but said at the time it needed improving and a bit of a walk to town.

  2. d**n Shelle B said exactly what I was going to say...

    http://www.tripadvisor.com/Search?q=whit...

This site is the best... I always go there before booking a place to go and the site hasn't let me down yet!!

  3. I've just booked our Chrissie holiday to Hamilton Island, apparently its the most family friendly of all the Whitsundays islands.  It caters for the adults & the kids with the activities & the accommodation is reasonable too.  Or if you want to stay on the mainland you could check out Airlie Beach.  Thats supposed to be really nice too for families.

If you come across any areas, or accommodation you want reviews on try:

    www.TripAdvisor.com

You get stories & photos from travellers who've been there done that...

    Enjoy!!
