What books from your childhood would you like to share with your children? and any particular reasons why?

  1. the three little bears...i remeber it was so much fun to know what they were going to say next...

  3. I loved all the Little Bear books and Danny the Dinosaur. They are in the I Can Read series . Also all of the Curious George books. When I read them to my daughter it's like my mother is reading to me again. So many wonderful memories.

    Why? Because it's a classic tale of imagination that has come to be adored by millions of readers since its first publication.

    "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel" by Virginia Lee Burton

    Why? Because it's a tale of inspiration and can-do spirit, and who can forget the beautiful illustrations, particularly the picture of Mary Anne, the titular steam shovel; it's also a great read-aloud.

    "Harold and the Purple Crayon" by Crockett Johnson

    Why? Because it's the quintessential story of imagination, told with the sparest of text and illustrations.

    "The Biggest Bear" by Lynd Ward

    Why? Because it deals with themes too often overlooked by contemporary authors and illustrators.

    Why? Because it's a timeless classic rooted in real life.

    Why? Because it is a wonderful tale of a girl's love for a little bear and her acceptance of him as he is.

  6. Five Little Monkey's Jumping On the Bed, Clifford the Big Red Dog, I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a fly. I think FIve Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed is a good story because it teaches the children a good lesson. Clifford the BIg Red Dog is a great series because it lets children learn more words and it's   a fun book. I know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly is an interesting story. It kind of teaches  your children a lesson and its a humor book and kids love funny stuff.

  8. I have a few but I can't recall the names, I think it would be cool for them to hear the same stories I did as a child.

    I remember Pokey the puppy and happy birthday moon, If yo give a mouse a cookie... ??????
