Would you consider a teacher forcing students to dance for a class activity that isn't for a grade a violation of human rights?

  1. NO!!!!!

Are you nuts??  Do you KNOW the definition of human rights??

Another deplorable example of our decaying society, and a perfect example of 'me me me.'

  2. Well, no, it isn't a violation of human rights but it I agree that it is thoroughly unpleasant, and nasty to do to people who already suffer the daily humiliation of school.  Unless these are very small children, who might actually enjoy this kind of activity, I think it is a truly rotten thing to subject people to.  Life is hard enough without having to sweatily expose your lack of grace to those with whom you also have to eat lunch and ride the bus (do people still ride the bus?)  Of course if I were in high school and some one told me to dance for no other reason than that they said so I would just plain mutiny, especially if no grade were even riding on it.

  3. Genocide is a violation of human rights.  Institutionalized discrimination against people of a certain religion or ethnicity is a violation of human rights.  Torture is a violation of human rights.

I don't think any reasonable person would put "making kids dance in class" in the same category as these things.  So the answer to your question is a resounding (and slightly flabbergasted that anyone could even ask this) NO.
