Question:

Ford 2003 Keypad Code?

I just purchased a 2003 Ford E150 with a keypad on the driver's door.

I did not get the owner's manual.

I was told by a dealer that I would be charged by the hour for them to get the number using their computer.

Is there any other way to find the number without paying that service fee?

Thanks for your help.

  1. yes call another ford dealership they will pull up your vehicle on the dealerships ford website(dealership only) and get you the code.

  2. You might try this,

The five digit code is on the bsm box which is a black box located on the driver side back wall of the cab. The box will have a blue and green plug to it.Remove the back seat and it is behind the black wool material. you will have to remove a few push pins to pull up the corner. The number is right on the front of box. To take the back of the seat off :   The seat comes out easy just pop the cover of the middle seat belt located on the top of the back seat. There are 2 10mm bolts in there you must take out pop the plastic cover off. Get in the back seat grab below the back seat lift up should lift right out.

  3. 2003 is easy, tilt your head under the dash and look for a cream colored box next to the brake pedal on the left. there is a 5 digit number there.. those numbers are your code if the keypad is part of the door handle.

If it's stuck on the door in any other place, be prepared to toss it and buy another one at the Ford dealer as there is no place on the vehicle where the numbers are.

the one guy with the push clip idea is good for 2004 and later trucks and requires removal of either a back wall and on most, the back seat to gain access to the numbers meaning it's best to go to the dealer.
