AU Ford Falcon battery light never goes off battery is fine whats the problem

  1. Get a multimeter and check the charging voltage at the battery terminals.. 12v is normal when sitting static.. and when running between 13-14v is healthy.. if it stays at 12 your alternator has had an internal fault... If the alternator is still charging 13v or there about at the battery find the alternator and check the connections there..(some models utilize the "R" terminal of the alternator as a feedback to tell if its charging or not..(most alternators have 4 terminals on them positive, negative, exciter wire, R terminal..))


  2. I believe you might have a bad wire running to it ,could be rubbing somewhere.I know how those light s can drive you crazy.

  3. I would check the owners manual, it might be normal. Just like those alarms that never start blinking to tell you there on.
