Ford galaxy over heating

Question

over heats only on long runs, rad is cold some times but hot other times, water pump looks ok themosat looks ok and both work ok . pipes hot at top of engin but cold at bottom but some times norm.heaters dont work. just does not seem to pump water around. is it a block, where or wot can i look for next plz help me
