What does the job entail and what kind of person best fits the job?

  1. Forensic anthropologists generally work to identify human remains, usually with law enforcement officials.  They may also help determine how and when the person died.  I think the main qualification would be a strong stomach- dead bodies do not smell or look nice.  Other than that, medical detachment, attention to details, things like that would help.  check out the book _Dead Men Do Tell Tales_ by William Maples and Michael Browning.  There are a lot of cases that a forensic anthropologist worked on in there, including the remains of Tzar Nicholas II and his family.  It's really interesting.
