Question:

Foundation for pale skin?

i've used max factor long lasting performance in fair, plenty of the no.7 range in boots and other foundations from there. But i can never find the right colour for my skin - it usually tends to look cakey, orange or just too dark. Can anyone recommend a foundation for pale skin? Also preferably from the UK, thanks.

  1. same problem!

try using revlon colorstay, they have very light colors.

  2. I have pretty fair skin, and I use MAC foundation, which I would really recommend. If you go to a MAC shop (you can locate them on the website), they'll colour-match you, so you get the right shade.

If you want something cheaper, maybelline matte mousse has quite a few pale shades, as do many of the Rimmel foundations.

  3. It depends how pale you are, the 'Dainty Doll' range from jelly pong pong has a ''white foundation'' for really pale people, although i'm pale myself and have tried looooads of different foundations, but went to a MAC counter in Debenhams and asked them to help me find the right colour, they instantly new which one would be best for my skintone (NC15 - the palest one lol) and it matches perfectly (and is a brilliant foundation too in my opinion) so I suggest you ask people in department stores to help, thats their job....good luck :)

  4. Tru Blend from covergirl is the best! i have pale skin too, so i like embracing it, not getting a tan, the tru blend is the best!!!!!

  5. true blends works the best for paleish skin.

  6. the only reason it may look orange is because you might be getting too much of a bronzer color when you got look for you make-up try getting the lightes one not one that looks darker then your skin.... and you may b putting on too much thats why it looks cakey....try using the moose type of foundation its a much smoother foundation..

    hope i helped

  7. i have very pale skin and i have loved max factors miricle touch in creamy ivory. it took me a long time to find a foundation that was pale enough. clinique superbalanced is a great foundation. i used it in alabaster the palest shade but it was a bit too dark and therefore orange looking for me. if u have a bit more colour in the skin than i do then id reccommend that.

also top off foundation with loose powder in transparent colour just to set it.

by the way the miracle touch is quie often part of the 3 for 2 promo that happens in boots and superdrug.

  8. Contact a local Mary Kay consultant.  She will help you find the shade that works perfectly with your skin.
