Question:

Fountain pen?

Hi, I've become interested in fountain pens recently. I want to purchase a pen, but I've no clue what to get, or even how to use it.

Can anyone recommend a decent pen for a beginner? Add some tips too and I'll appreciate it :D

  1. Parker cheaper and lighter weight and smooth masquerade  in the writing

  2. Get one with a 14K Gold Nib.

Both Parker and Waterman are good pens.  You should be able to find one on the Internet.

You will need a supply of Blotting Paper too and a Bottle of Ink -

I used to like Royal Blue Ink.

  3. People do not write much in these days so in the event you have not noticed not many places carry the fountain pen.  At one time Cross made a fine one (still have one I purchased in 1981) also Mont Blanc is superb.  Your style will change since fountain pens are not really good for short--stubby writing and you will find yourself opening up your style.  I do all my journal entries in fountain pen...enjoy
