Framing with t-111 sideing?

need help with stud layout so i can put t-111 siding on it. when i start the front wall i will have a 3 stud corner,the t111 starting flush with the outside stud? and 16 on center from that, the joining side wall i will have to start my first stud to butt up to the 3 stud corner and then how far in do i start the next stud?

  1. From the outside edge to the center of the stud is 48".  Nail pattern is based on 16" oc, so measure back 16" and 32", add studs as necessary to support the corner.  And if the total wall length is anything other than a multiple of 48", there will be cutting at an end panel.  Same concern if turning a corner.

    Same concern for placement of windows and doors.  And think about the pattern the

    T1-11 will have on either side of the window or door opening, usually centered, but sometimes on the groove.  It ain't rocket surgery, but it requires a lot of thought if you want it to look right.  Get someone who has been there to help.
