i live in toronto and i was wondreing is there a free 411 service that works on a cell? i tried 1 800 free 411 but that doesnt work nemore are there any others

Just try it online, 411 canada google this and then you can get all the phone numbers, address and more for free. I understand when you call by phone or cell, sometimes they can charge you in order to give you a phone number.
