It is commonly thought that the mosquito tone can only be heard by teenagers because as we grow older we can't really hear sounds at a higher frequancy.

However. ironically, because teenagers now a days spend loads of time plugged in to their mp3s, our hearing's actually thought to be worse then the average teen years ago.

Although most teachers may not be able to actually hear the high pitched noise, my parents and teachers said that they feel tenser when the mosquito tone is being played.

So even though they MAY not catch you. You might just make them pissed off. :P lol

Some websites provide mosquito tones at different frequencies. The higher it is, the less chance that your teachers won't hear it.

Then again, you may not be able to hear it either. ;)

thats bull

theres supposedly a ring tone only teens can hear because of the sound frequency or something but so not true.

this kid got busted in class when his phone went off because the teacher (who's like 50) heard it.
