Free food at McDonalds?

Question

This could well be an urban legend and I'm not even sure if it's McD's or Burger King or some such other place (but I'll say McD to make it simple) but.....

I was told many years ago that in the McDonalds Customer Charter it states that if the customer doesn't get their order within a specific amount of time then it is free!

I dont even like McD's so this is just to satisfy my own curiosity as to whether this is indeed true and if so what is the magical amount of time they have to get it to you by?

I've heard of this urban legend a long time ago, and I'm not sure what the answer is. The customer will probably have to claim it within one hour, and I don't think that you can claim the food. You probably have to give the food to another customer or something.

there is no magical amount.. and it all depends on the manager on whether you get your food free or not.

I went there last night, and I could have gotten my food faster at Wendys or Hardees who makes their food fresh.

I waited about 15 minutes for my food, and it seemed like half of the employees working were having personal conversations not even paying attention to all the people inside glaring at them and complaining.

I suggest looking on the McDonalds webpage to see if your info is correct. I have never heard of such a thing though.

I've never heard of this....I know I have waited a long time for my food at McDonald's sometimes....long enough where it should have been free.

um....i dont think that that is true. there is  a show called "the Suite Life of Zack&Cody", and in one episode, there was a store that looks like something like KFC, and in THAT place, u get ur food free if u dont get it in a certain amount of time. maybe u got confused? hope this helps. =)

I have never hear that about McDonalds but with most pizza places they have a 30 minute policy. I have actually had to wait for 5 minutes or so while they cook my food at McD's.
