Free insurance in Michigan?

My friend has a cavity in his tooth but his parents removed him from their medical insurance when he turned 18. Pretty much all the money he makes at his job goes to gas for his car and paying rent on his house. Is there any way he can get free insurance. He is on the verge of going insane and just ripping the tooth out of his mouth.

Any insurance he might qualify for medically and or financially, will not cover dental. (Medicaid)

His only option is to find a dentist that will allow payments and get the cavity filled. Maybe a second job for awhile to help with the payments...
