I am looking for a free programme to sharpen up photos that have been enlarged or zoomed in. All I want it to reduce the photos becoming so pixalated, so any input at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Basically programs that sharpen photos also degrade them, it generates ringing effect that looks quite ugly. However there's a new enlargement technique that uses a novel technology that allows to enlarge pictures without making them blurry. Your can try it at this website (just follow the Try it Now link on the left), it's free ;)

  2. Sharpening will not get rid of pixellation it will actually make it worse, you need a bigger file size (more Mb).

Gimp has sharpening tools, you can down load it for free here.
