Freeganism?

Ever heard of them? Do you know any personally? What do you think of them as a group?

Yes I've heard of them.

I don't know any that go by that name but I know some people that have tendencies to live like Freegans.

I think if they can truly live like that without being a burden to anybody then, great. They then are finding and using resources that otherwise would go to waste and they have found a way to make a legitimate living. If anybody can live like that then that is a sign that America is really the land of opportunity and there is a lot extra to go around.

Yes, I recently saw them on the news. No, I don't know any personally (that I know of) I think that they are showing America that businesses, and people are being s****. with their food. But of course, if I'm going to pay almost 3 dollars a pound for tomatoes, I want them to look really freaking good. I think instead of this whole dig through the trash movement, we should be pushing for grocery stores/resturants to donate their unused, food to shelters, to the homeless, to the less fortunate. If everybody put in a little bit more effort into everything we all "say" we want done, we could accomplish ANYTHING.
