I've bought a freeview box with 80gb hardrive. I bought it off ebay but after about half an hour of viewing it seems to lose signal. the problem is cured simply by switching it off then on again, however this is getting quite annoying. I think the seller may have got a short term repair. Does anyone have the same trouble, or can anyone help. cheers carl

  1. Oh dear the box sounds faulty, and they are a bugger to get repaired, I hope you did not pay too much.

I think I would look at maybe taking BT Vision, its a free view box with HDMI for high def TV, can down load movies and has an 80GB hard drive recorder thing.

    Hope this helps?

  2. mine used to do the same and i noticed that if it was inline with a dvd player or video player the signal would break up try moving it

also if the arial is not connected directly to the freeview recorder the signal can drop
