French Cheese question!

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and he really loves French cheeses. What kind are the best...he pretty much eats anything but i want to really impress him!

Brie, Camembert, Roquefort.

All served on a silver platter with premium gourmet crackers and a grape vine. :)

go with a double cream Brie or a triple cream brie. I would also suggest you go to your nearest gourmet store and get at least 2 more pare it with strawberries, grapes, pears,and bread an crackers. You will impress him and it it can be vary romantic if you enjoy it with him too.

All the ones mentioned so far are so boring.

Find a cheese shop or a store that has specialty cheeses.

You could get a beautiful Bourgogne cheese that strong and creamy.

Or a fantastic Herbed Chevre

A brie with a specialty rind would be awesome

The cheese shops in the small towns in France were my favourite things.  Mmmmmmm.  

Wild Oats has an aweome cheese section - might want to head there if you have one.
