ill be done with school after this year, and have no idea where/what i want to do/go.

i have the whole world to choose from, for one year of freshman in any university i can get into, and id like to make the best of that.

its one year in the country of my choice. im thinking of going to a country with nice swell, to surf since where i am, it sucks.

so i have the choice: stay here, go to a university close to home, or go somewhere thousands of kilometers from anyone i ever knew, where i can surf.

so your advice and opinion: venture out into the world on my own (surfing, but alone and far away in a nedw country ive never seen), or stay closer to home (friends, same old) and the see where i could go for my university studies after freshman year.

im 16, but will be 17 next august

  1. ever thought about Hawaii? you can surf alllll year long and kamaina trips from island to island are cheap!  UHH(university hawaii at hilo) in hawaii on da big I

  2. I say go for the travel.  Traveling to another country, and especially living there, you will gain a better perspective on your own life and culture as well as learn to appreciate another.

Since you didn't mention where you live I will assume it is in the US.  Australia has good univerisities some of which are close to  the beach.  Plus they speak their own brand of English so it will easier to adjust.
