Question:

Frustrated with the 800m?

I have run a 2:06 the last three races after dropping my time in about 2 weeks from 2:14 to this time. I know I can run faster because last race on saturday I started at the back of the pack for the first lap and won the race by the end. I think my splits for 400 were 63 and 63, is it better to run a quicker first lap because I am confident in my kick.

  1. ima freshman with a best a 2:04 and i can say that u should run your first lap faster if yuou want to improve your time...running even splits is good if you are looking to win but for me personally i would go out in a 58 and come back with a 66 or 57 and 67.   good luck don't worry with better competition your time will drop.

  2. Well I admit I'm not that good because I'm a junior and my best is 2:27, but I try hard on the 1st lap, but don't kill yourself. Try to Run a 60-61 sec 1st lap and try to beat it on the 2nd.

    Great time though
