  1. EFI is the way if it has it>But add better fuel water seperators> As water will kill the EFI system>


  2. FI is more fuel efficient, carbs are easy and cheap to repair. average Fi repair $800.00 + .

If you are purchasing a new boat, fuel injection is the way to go.  There has been enormous strides in marine engine technology is the new century.  If you're looking at an older boat, carburetor problems are mush more rare in boats that cars.      They have a dependable record as long as your careful about storage off season....adding fuel stabilizer etc.  clean filters regularly.  Marine engines never ware out they are neglected to death.

  4. I like carbed boat motors.  No reason, just a personal preference.

  5. go for injection, they always start and they are easier to store over the off season.
