How much does it cost to fuel a Boeing 737?

While it doesn't give a dollar amount, the Wikipedia page for the Boeing 737 gives the fuel capacity for the various models of the plane.  If you use $4.00 per gallon as an estimate for the price of jet fuel, I think you'll have a fairly good ballpark figure for filling it up.  I think that under normal circumstances, the planes are seldom completely filled.

A Boeing 737-700(the most commonly used) has 6.675 gallons of fuel.  fuel can reach prices of almost $4. That is $26700. per person it's about $190 per person on the plane(140 passengers)

6,875 gallons of Jet-A is what that beast holds.  Fuel prices range drastically from $3.50 to nearly $8.00/gal in places like Baltimore.  That comes out to $24,062 to $55,000!  Get out your checkbook pardner!
