  1. Have plenty of good food for them....  Have a mini Las Vegas contest....  use poker chips for money OR Pennies....  play basic games that have easy to understand rules....  Black Jack - 5 card stud poker - Pokeno -   At the end the one with the most chips wins a prize...

Then Water balloon volley ball is a hit with the boys

Pitching pennies is always fun for the lads too.

Let the boys make their own snacks too....They love messing around in the kitchen.

    Individual Pizzas

    ******************

English Muffins OR Hoagie Buns split in half (can split again after cooking)

    Cheese Whiz

    Pizza Sauce

    Topping if you choose

    Pizza Cheese

Spread the cheese whiz on the buns

spread the pizza sauce over that

Add toppings if you wish (not necessary)

Sprinkle Pizza cheese over the top

Bake until they start to brown on top... serve or freeze

If too large you may cut into smaller pieces.

    Tostido Rounds

    *******************

    Tostido Round

    Spread refried beans on top

Put a dab of hot sause

Place shredded Mexican Cheese on top

Microwave for a couple of secs until cheese starts to melt...

Cant make them fast enough...  heehee

Hope this helps just a little bit

    Hotttttttt  Doggggggg

  2. There's LOTS they can do!

Relay races, potato sack races (use old pillowcases), three legged races, wheelbarrel races, etc.

Set up a volleyball net and have them play volleyball and badmitten.

    Waterballoon fights.

    Slip and slides.

Get an inflatable kiddie pool and fill it with water, break them up into 2 teams and let them have a tug of war, the losing team ends up in the pool!

Pie eating contest, BUT instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream, whoever finishes first wins!

team sports, they can play soccer, baseball, etc.

There's a game where everyone stands in a circle and tosses a ball around, it doesn't matter what order, the object is to keep the ball in the air, whoever drops the ball is out.  You keep going around the circle until there's one person left standing and that person's the winner.

Another game, they stand again in a circle, this time with their hands either behind their backs or at their sides, but they can NOT use them!  With ONLY their chins, they have to pass a ball around the circle!  Whoever drops the ball is out, they pass the ball with their chin and take the ball from the person passing it with their chin, whoever drops the ball is out.  This game is hysterical to play and watch!  They keep going around the circle until there's one person left standing and that's the winner!

Pinata!  Go to the party store and find one he likes, or let him pick one out.  In the same aisle there's usually what's called pinata filler, and it's just that, big bags of candy to fill them with.  Just make sure to write the names of each child on a bag BEFORE doing it, this way you avoid fights over whose bag is whose at the end of the party.  I've had that happen and a simply sharpie marker to a ziploc bag saves all that!

Ice cream bar!  Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and marachino cherries and have them make their own sundaes.  You can get waffle cone bowls at the grocery store.

For food, do whatever is his favorite, if he likes bbq, do burgers and hot dogs, if he likes tacos, do a taco bar and let them make their own tacos, if he likes pizza send out for some pizzas, being it's his birthday and his party, do whatever is his favorite and the foods and snacks that he loves.

You can also set up some video games and have them compete against each other, you can do movies, etc.

You can do waterguns and have them play against each other.

Has he mentioned anything that he wants to do?  I would talk to him and ask him if he has anything in mind.

I hope some of these ideas help and that he has a great party and a very Happy Birthday!!
