Fundraiser ideas!?

okay so heres the deal, my best friend and i are starting a travel club, because we are travel freaks! its just me her her aunt and my grandma (my grandma lovesssss traveling) we are going to ask more people to join but we are on break right now, we decided that ever month we would hold a meeting and decide on a fundraiser then every 6 or so months we would go somewere like once on winter break once over summer that way we could go to different types of places, so i have to questions, does this club sound cool and realistic? and what are some fundraiser ideas

Hey there, Julie!  GREAT idea!

I've been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years....so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost for your cause...

1) Consider a mail campaign - depending on how many mailing addresses you have, you never know how many people might respond to your cause and just write you a check! This works amazingly well for several organizations that are short on time AND resources.

2) Instead of having a garage sale at your home, try having a "garage" sale on eBay! Think of it as a virtual way to get rid of some stuff AND make a little more money...(make sure you include the cost of shipping those items online or else you'll end up losing money!).

if you hold MANY fundraisers, than yeah it sounds realistic.

well actually... were you planning on using only the money earned by fundraisers to fun your trips, or a mix of both ur raised money and the money you guys already have?
