well, after all that superfighter dogfights against all odds, let's ask

Thunderbirds vs. Blue Angels? who will win the dogfight?

let's allow them to have their vulcans full, but no missiles.

Equal piloting skills means that the machine can give the edge. The Thunderbirds fly the aging Block 32 Fighting Falcons and the Blue Angels have the newer F/A-18s with more power and better aerodynamics. I'd go for a Blue Angel's win.

The high alpha tail sitting pass is an indicator of the Hornet's performance advantage over the F-16s.

Navy answer = Blue Angels

It all depends on who you ask!

The F-18 has better high alpha performance but the F-16 is more maneuverable.  The F-16 has the edge on power to weight.

But are you talking about the whole team vs the whole team, or one on one until there is only one team left?  Six F-16s vs six F-18s would be something to see.  Wonder if they would come up with any formation tactics.

I'd put money on the Blue Angels.
