GBACW Abbreviations?

Question

1. On an artillery counter, what does TB stand for?

2. On an infantry counter, what do SS, RIF, and PA stand for? They are right under the regiments' number and state, but only on a few of them. I think SS stands for sharpshooter, but I'm not sure about the others.

3. Random, but on the unit's combat strength number, what does each number equal to in actual men? Like 9 combat strength = 900 men?

1.  I don't have any of the GBACW games, so I can't answer this.  There isn't any reference in the living rules to anything that might reference this as a type of artillery.  GMT is usually pretty good about listing all non-standard abbreviations - do they have a list in the scenario book?  The only other possibility I know of is that a Confederate artillery unit was called the Artillery Blues - could it actually be an "AB"?

2.  The SS and RIF are short for "Sharpshooters" and "Rifles."  A number of regiments during the ACW were designated with this name - as far as I know, it didn't represent any special function, it was just an artifact of the fact that so many units were raised by the states.  I would be very surprised if PA stood for anything other than "Pennsylvania."

3.  The living rules state that 1 strength point = 50 men for infantry and cavalry, or 1 gun for artillery.
