GHD mini styler/straightener help???

Question

My GHD straightener is a year old, and it has encountered a problem.

The straightener only lights up once its on if i hit it against something i.e my bed mattress, and then the GHD straightener will only stay on for 20 seconds and then it turns off.

I have checked the fuse, and replaced it, which didn't make a difference.

What could the problem be? and what do you recommend ?

yes definately dont mess with it or it will make the 2 yr guarantee  void. ghd will send you an envelope  to post it to them with the straightener and your receipt enclosed .if they cant fix am sure they replace thme with no quibble.

loose wire inside.Take them back to the shop you bought them or write to ghd.You'll be surprise on how help-full they will be.

have you still got the garuantee? if you do use that.

if you dont go onto ghdhair.com and they have contact numbers of people wholl fix them or you can send them to ghd to fix them ( dunno if they charge you)

or take them to somewhere that fixes electical items, they might know whats wrong

its not the fuse thats the problem, id say there is a wire loose somewhere in them.

It's probably a loose connection inside, the same thing happened to mine except mine would only switch on if I squeezed them shut.  Mine were 5 years old so I just bought new ones but since yours are only a year old it's probably worth a try phoning GHD and seeing if they will take them back and repair/replace them.  GHD seem to usually have quite good customer service.
