ok well im 13 and i havent gotten my period yet.. im about

'4 "10 - '4"11, andi wear a size 30A bra. when do u think i will get it? cuz im nervous but excited at the same time.. ahh! :] and is it bad to use a tampon for ur first period?

I got mine at 13 actually. depends on everyone. usually around when your mom got it or siblings.

I used pads for a few years.

I did sports and started using tampons.

It hurt first time.

Tried second time and went right in.

And now i wear pads at night.

I dont' wanna get tss.

Tampons aren't recommended, at all- though if you want to use them, I advise TAMPAX with an applicator- cleaner, and less invasive of yourself.. Particuarly in the beginning.

Start off using pads for your first few periods, only then can you understand it..

It's weird, it has like, strong days, week days etc- so it is best that you know the patterns before you put yourself in an embaressing situation..

ENJOY being a woman- and believe me.... It isn't as great as it seems- enjoy not having it- TRUST ME!

i guarantee you you wont want to use a tampon the first time you have your period...my sis started hers already and she is only 11!!! she is already 5'5 lol she is a freak...well you seem small and flat chested...do you have any hair yet???that can determine a lot too...

You sound like your in such a hurry to have your period, ugh I wish I could make mine go away haha!! Well you could probably have it soon although there are girls who began having theirs way later like 15, 16, it just depends on your body. If you feel comfortable asking your mom or grandma when they began having theres that might help you figure out a general time frame. Hope this helps!!

Dont worry too much about it. Some girls dont get their period until they are 15. If you get to that age without one then start to worry.

I personally used a tampon with my first period no problem.

Its a personal thing.

Be happy! A niece of mine got her period at 11, and as girls' growth stops two years after the first period she stayed very very short... Under 5 ft.

If you do not get your period at by the time you turn 16 that's a reason to worry.

It seems a bit weird to use a tampon before losing your virginity, but that's just me, don't pay attention to it :)

I don't think it's bad to use a tampon the first time, but I would prefferably wear a pad. As your flow might not be heavy enough for a tampon. Some girls don't get their periods until they're in their late teens! Just keep some supplies on hand, like in your purse or school locker in case it comes when you're not at home. :]

I think that u really shouldn't get too worked up over it. I was twelve when I got mine and 13 now. Just relax and don't worry about it. It will come when it comes. And your height won't make a difference. As for the tampons, it all depends on what you are comfortable with.

Mostly girls get them around 13-14.

If your underweight, you tend to get them later.

If you have hair already, it should probably be coming soon. :)

I don't suggest using a tampon for your FIRST period as it's probably going to be uncomfortable, but I definitely recommend it when you have it the first couple times. It's alot less hassle & less mess.

It's not bad at all, you should be proud that you're becoming a woman when you get it.

You never will actually know when you will get your period. It's really random. Some girls get it at 16, and some girls get it at 11. I wouldn't suggest using a tampon the first time. My doctor suggested waiting a year before using a tampon, but if you're comfortable then go ahead.

I understand how excited you are! It's a huge size of womanhood, but be thankful for the days without your period.

There is chance you could get it any day now. It seems that you are on your way through puberty. A lot of young girls find that they get a lot of white milky/clear discharge in the months leading up to their periods. Be on the look out for that.

It isn't bad to use a tampon for your first period but for the first few, pads are easier. It's easier to see what kind of flow you have if you can monitor how much is on the pad through out the day.
