GTA 4 hdmi problems?

well i got myself an hd tv and i tried to play gta 4 using my hdmi that came with my 360 elite. however, the graphics seemed very bad... the shadows were very fuzzy. i checked my settings and made sure my system settings are on 720p. then i tried using the colored component cables, and it was still pretty lame graphics. can somebody tell me whats wrong.

The output can only be as good as the input.

GTA 4 was probably designed in Standard def. You can scale it up, but unless a program was designed in HD, don't expect to see the best graphics regardless of what cable you use.

(On your TV, use the info or display button to make sure the TV indeed receives a 720p signal).
