For some reason whenever I put my xbox 360 on my hd tv and put the component cables in and set it to hd its all stretched out and it cuts off some of the life meter/radar and it cuts off the letters in the names of the missions. does anyone have any idea on how to fix it?

  1. There is a blue PSIZE button on your remote....it might be gray depending on your remote too...

Find it, press it and press it again and again....

You have several options to choose from...

Set it to the one that works for you.

  2. First off, make sure you're on an HD resolution (likely 1080i if you're on a TV and complaining of overscan, which I'm guessing is a CRT or rear-projection or something), and make sure there are no zoom or stretch modes enabled on your TV. Otherwise, you're kinda screwed unless MS decides to put in overscan correction in a future dashboard update (which should be possible due to the built-in scaler). I feel your pain, I hate overscan. I now have a 1080p LCD with a 1:1 mode, and I lose NONE of the picture, it's awesome.

  3. Yeah, I have the same problem. You probably have a 1080i resolution tv and for that game and others like Bioshock there is about an inch missing from the right side. There is no way to fix this short of a patch, but you may want to try lowering the resolution on the 360 to 480p if you want to sacrifice some graphics for the entire screen.
