    It's a two beat gait and sorry no sources just personal experience! =]

    walk, trot, canter, then gallop with extended and collected in between.

  11.   Galloping is the fastest gait. Sources aren't needed, this is common knowledge among horse people. In fact I believe it's common knowledge among the vast population. Common knowledge questions do not need clarification.  

      

  12. ok yes it is a gait, meaning the fastest, but actually horses have a FOUR beat gait when running too. I had read this a long time ago in a fact book. It is not a TWO beat gait that is a TROT people! walk is four, trot two canter three gallop three(with suspension of all legs) and four too.
