Gardening---- orchids.?

Question

I live in Hyderabad , india. It has a dry climate.

I love orchids, saw the pictures, they are lovely

Can I grow them in a dry place like mine. does it

need humidity always. What are the methods of growing orchids in such climate.?

I am in a very dry climate, in fact semi-desert and I grow epidendrum and cymbidian orchids.  I grow them in containers as well as in the ground.  I set up misters to provide them the humidity by using the automatic sprinklers and they do just fine.  You probably can have them in containers in your bathroom where the steam from the shower will provide humidity.  But, as long as you provide the care for the particular type of orchid you choose, they should do fine.
