Garter Sanke? Dangerous?

Snake Experts..we found this in my garden and wanted to know if it was poisonous or dangerous...

Consider every snake as poisonous! As it does not give you a chance to think/carryout research when it decides to bite some one!!!!

They stink to high-heaven if you touch them, but that's the most dangerous thing about them.  As a kid I do remember being bitten by one - ONCE, but it barely drew blood, it was like a bug-bite!  I really only think it even bit me because I was probably toruring it, I was a kid.  I've handled hundreds of them since then and never been hurt in the least!  They'e actually great to have around your yard to keep little critters out of gardens and such.

that snake is harmless..a quick way to determine if a snake if poisionus is by the shape of its head..if its head is a definite triangle it is poisionus

Only if you are a cricket. These are good snakes. Harmless to humans, pets. Leave them be.
