Gas Odor coming from oven

Question

I have a GE XL44 Gas Range - There is a gas odor coming from my oven when it is turned off. Sometimes it is quite strong and sometimes you can't smell it unless you open the oven. It disappears when the oven is turned on. The oven works fine otherwise.
