  1. Gatwick Express , its very fast and comfortable and this have connection with many stations in between

  2. You take the Gatwick Express train from the airport to Victoria train station. It is a beautiful walk to the theater, but it is between 1.5-2.0 miles so you have to be ambitious. If not, switch to the London Underground.

I would take either the District or the Circle Line from Victoria to  the Embankment underground station so you don't have to switch underground lines.  Buy an oyster card at the station to save you money and time.

From Embankment station it is about 700 yards to the theater. Walk along the river past Cleopatra's Needle and head up the hill at Savoy Street next to the Waterloo Bridge to "The Strand". Turn right on The Strand and left on Aldwych Street.  Look at the map for the area around the theater

The Aldwych is a great theater!

There are other underground stops that are a little closer. Temple stop is not always open and it is less scenic. Covent Garden stop is closer, but it is always crowded because it doesn't have escalators (only elevators).

  3. There a are a few options for you.  You can take the Gatwick Express which takes around 40 minutes and the train takes you into London Victoria.  From there you would get the underground (tube) and would take the Circle Line to Embankment and Walk to Aldwych (about 10 mins walk).  You could get the normal Southern train which takes a bit longer (about an hour as it stops but is cheaper) to Clapham Junction - change for another train to Waterloo (Platform 10 every few minutes) then get any bus from outside Waterloo over the bridge to Aldwych.  You could walk over the bridge if it's not too windy.  There is also a bus which takes you from Gatwick to London Victoria but this would take the longest depending on traffic up to 2 hours and then you would get the tube from Victoria.  There are also buses from Victoria (No. 6 goes to Aldwych).  www.tfl.gov.uk for more info on London transport and www.nationalrail.co.uk for southern rail times.  www.gatwickexpress.com for info on express train.
