  1. You need to decide on what you want to do, we can't tell you what career you should go into. Look at uni and college prospectus' and see what you fancy. For at lot of college courses you need at least 4 D's and that's it.

My partner failed every one of his GCSE's, he didn't even turn up for most! Then he went to college and studied Micro-computer engineering, then gave that up and became a chef then ran a pub, now he's changed his mind again and he's training to be an accountant. It's really not the end of the world, there's a lot available, unfortunately most don't realise this until they're older or they've been in the education system for some time, like me.

If you want to re-sit you are able to do this, whoever has told you you can't is incredibly incompetent. To be honest most college courses nowadays include level 2 and 3 maths, english and IT as part of it anyway so I wouldn't worry. Sometimes it's called literacy and numeracy, but it's basically GCSE grade pass in maths and english.

I hope you find something suitable for you that you enjoy.

    Good Luck

  2. Because you did not get a A* - C in maths and english i would really retake them.. If you want to  do a levels you need to have A* - C in them which all together would give you 5 gcse's which is what u need for a levels. You don't need science if you are doing an a level which has nothing to do with science.. Hope that helps?

  3. i didn't even do my GCSE's and now I'm going to do a btec in children's health social care and learning. all i had to do was an assessment to prove i had the brains.

  4. Read this link from connexions and find your local connexions for advice. Most cities have a connexions office but you should find their web address. Connexions deal with youth specifically whereas learn direct help adult learners.

Now is the time to think about what you want to do career wise - the clearer your goal the less likely you are to get yourself in a panic in the future. Your results are not the end of the world even though now it seems like the be all and end all of everything. When it comes to getting certain jobs qualifications lose out to experience. It depends on what you want to do.

You can retake English which is a good GCSE to have and the link I gave says you have options on doing foundation level or intermediate in a desired subject. You may have to shop around for colleges that will take you. Don't be hard on yourself, all across the country today are others like you who may have even got worse results.

Have you thought of a career in design or using art?

You can do product/packaging design, graphic design, architecture, fashion design. Possibilities are out there as long as you are hard working, show drive and ambition and don't follow the crowd when they want to mess about.

    Good luck

  5. Get enrolled on a course quickly!! Something you want to do. I guess art or something. Your results are fine, just retake Maths and English because you will always need those.

You can go to Uni and you can take A levels so dont let anyone tell you different, I know a guy who walked out of school with a B and C and that was it. And he is now at Uni and quite a good one.

It will require you to work and dont mind what teachers say and think because their almost always wrong. All you need is 5-A-Cs and you can do A levels or you may be able to do 1 A level this year and take a few GCSE's aswell. You need to be with people your own age so I wont advise going to an adult college, try sixth form/college.

  6. retake the ones you got d or below in. You need english and maths if nothing else. if you are good with your hands look for an apprenticship perhaps. You seem creative and adept with food perhaps find a course in cookery (better if u get science as well) .
