  1. Henry's father, Levi (born around 1877), immigrated in 1888 from Russia/Poland. He died 11-17-1948

His mother, Eva Winkelstein (born around 1882), immigrated in 1890 from Germany.

    The Walbrechers came from Prussia.

I haven't found Jean DeMartino or Jeanette Tuohy, yet.

Hope this helps a little. If you'd like to email (see my profile) me the correct birthdate for William W., I'll try to do a further search.  =)

  3. There are several William Walbrechers.. all seem to be in Maryland.  I usually don't advise "hopping" without each generation, but for this, I would be fairly sure your ancestry comes from the William Walbrecher who is there in 1870.  He is age 48 at the time (born about 1822), and birthplace was Prussia.  His wife is also from Prussia.  Their oldest child is age 15 but born in the US.. so he immigrated between 1822- 1855.

If you send me a note through my profile (with your regular email address) I can send the census image to you as attachment.  I'll try to pull up the other census years for you as well.

    edit-

I have Levi pinned down in 1920 in Pennsylvania.. and he immigrated in 1888.  He shows Russia (Poland), meaning he was Polish, but in 1888, it was under Russian jurisdiction.

At the time, he uses the Dembo spelling.

    edit

Jan, the two Williams in the ssdi are not the same.. have emailed Tim the census/ details
