I'm annoyed, cause those were my favorite snack. Turns out they have ground-up animal bones in the frosting. Ugh. Is this true?

  1. Read the label, dear.  And the frosted Pop Tarts also have gelatin.

    Sorry.

  2. Gelatin is made from the boiled bones, skin, ligaments and tendons of slaughtered cows and pigs.  Sadly, it is in MANY commercial products, such as yogurt, ice cream, pop tarts, breads, cookies, frostings, etc.  Pretty much anything commercial thats frosted will contain gelatin.  Its also in many candies, vitamins, minerals, and even hair styling gels and conditioners.  Your best bet to avoid it is to make everything homemade from scratch, using ingredients you know and trust.  Unfortunately, dead animals are in most commercial stuff in some form or another.  If you don't know what an ingredients is, google it for details-you will be shocked at how many things contain animal by products.  The "natural" flavors and colors in many products are usually animal sourced.  I don't eat anything I can't pronounce or identify.  By the way, in case you aren't aware-anything that contains sugar is also animal sourced-sugar is filtered through "char" which is ground animal bones.  Char is also what is used in aquarium filters.  When you learn all the hidden sources of dead critters, you get inspired to make things for yourself! Raw, organic sugar is NOT filtered with char.

  3. what??? are you serious???? omg that sucks. i didnt even know that!!!! :*(

EDIT: omg, not pop tarts!!!! :**********(

  4. Yup, you can look for Organic Frosted Mini Wheats, but you'll probably have to settle for Honey Nut Shredded Wheat.

  5. It sure is, sorry
