  1. With a 4 step approach....

first step should be a normal stride followed by 2 short steps then a normal step that slides.

    Step, short,short...and slide.......

Your push away with the ball and first step start together....the 2 short steps generate timing while the arm swing speed is generated solely by the weight of the bowling ball.

  2. run 5 km and do exercise

  3. for pace ' take care of the following two things:

    1. take a continous 11-13 steps  run up .. & dont get slow down near the stumps> i.e. make a continous run >>>>

    2. secondly make the maximum use of wrist to throw the ball rather than arm strength

& if this helps u then dnt forget to tell me???????? ok ...best of luck.........

  4. Find an appropriate run-up length that allows you to generate good speed and power at and through the bowling crease. Longer run-ups aren't necessarily better, find what works best for you through experimentation.

Reach high with your lead arm (non-bowling arm) and pulling it down explosively, allows you to take advantage of the body's natural levers. You can practice this off a couple of steps (without a run-up) to get the feel.

Follow through is important. You want your momentum/weight/energy behind the ball at the point of release and afterwards, all heading towards the batsman in a straight line.

This article (an interview with Brett Lee) may give some handy tips about some of my above mentioned points and more: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2002/nov...

  5. To generate the pace of ur bowling dont completly depend upon ur arm.... use ur wrist also to bowl.

  6. if u can, try to put more body weight when bowling the bowl and follow through much more. with this momentum, the ball will be faster
