If you could change the name of this forum to something that would be more fair(and not any reflection as to what actually happens here), what would you like to see it changed to?

What is a fair name in your opinion?

Gender studies, would be my choice. In this way, either women and men could talk about  gender roles issues and we would be emphatic saying this problem affects both sexes.

I expect don't bother you the fact I'm not a "gentlemen"...jejejeje

I think we'd all change it to Gender Studies if we had it our way. It used to be called Women's Studies, and we demanded a new name. This was the bone they threw us. Weak.

The forum rarely involves studies.  But if we were to name the forum on the basis of its content, something like "people talking past one another" might be appropriate.  

I would settle for "Gender and Gender Issues"

Gender Studies... though this forum is more like a combination of Gender Studies with Women's Studies, and they're two different subjects.

Gender Studies- The study of gender related issues.

Women's Studies- The study of the women's liberation movement and feminism.

Therefore, Gender and Women's Studies is already a good name for it... if it were changed to simply "Gender Studies", the few actual hardcore feminists that visit this place would be pissed off.

Since this really is a place where people (mainly) debate the pros and cons of feminism why not just call it "Feminist Studies?" I think there is enough fodder to discuss no matter what side your on.

Gender Studies would be good as a separate forum to discuss things like gender identity and sexuality. The two subjects are really quite different.
