"If you move from 40 N latitude and 60 E longitude to a new location of 60 south of there and 120 further east, where would you be?" Could someone please locate the spot and also the new degrees and explain how on earth they got the degrees/location? Thank you so much!

  1. Assuming that by "60 south of there" you mean 60 degrees south of there, then you would be a 20 S latitude (+40-60=-20)

60 E plus 120 E would be 180 E so you would be on the International Date line.  about 100  miles off the coast of Fiji
