Gerbil bitter apple spray?

Is there a spray i could use to get my gerbil to stop biting the bars on his cage? he keeps bending them

Gerbils need to chew because their teeth grow their whole lives.  He/she needs something to chew on to shorten them, hence the chewing on cage bars.  Find some wood that they like to chew on or some suitable substitute.  Otherwise you're in for a trip to the vet to have the teeth clipped.

gerbils naturally chew on anything the best thing to do is get a fish tank get a second hand 1 they are cheap gerbils shouldnt really be in bared cages anyway as they love to dig so in a fish tank they can dig
