Gerbil health?

I was wondering if my gerbil was ok.. his hair is all messy and he sleeps alot i was told just to give him a sandbath.. i took a video of him so people could tell me what they think

he looks fine to me, but don't hit the glass like that!

i would consider getting him a friend, gerbils are very social. he looks lonely, but other than that fine.

How old is he? You could take room temp. water and take a washcloth and wipe him down. I heard of a sandbath too, but I wouldnt....
